Fear to Love- receiving blessings

On FEAR TO LOVE and Receiving Blessings...⁣

⁣This morning I received a "random" phone call- a prayer from a Native elder from the Chumash lineage who sang to me in his native language..rattle in one hand and an eagle feather in the other, brushing through my energy field, clearing away disharmony. ⁣

Inside of me I felt my body contract into a No and try to open into a yes, both softening and guarding at the same time.⁣

Who was this man? How did he find me? What did he want? Was this a scam? Is this legit? Skeptical. A fear of being taken advantage of but also a longing to receive. ⁣

This is the part of healing that isn’t aesthetic...the in-between, the edge where trust hasn’t fully landed yet, where your nervous system is still asking…⁣⁣

is it safe to receive this?⁣

⁣so many of us learned that openness = danger and that receiving comes with a cost, as well as that there’s always an ulterior motive. ⁣

but what if…⁣

there are people who give from devotion, not transaction, from prayer, not agenda? What if blessings can come unexpectedly and you’re ALLOWED to take your time opening to them?⁣

What I’m practicing right now is devotional discernment. Which means letting my body stay in choice, allowing my heart to open at its own pace, and making space for complexity and dichotomy (protection and receptivity) coexist. ⁣

💚 If this speaks to the part of you that wants to open but doesn’t fully trust yet…⁣this is exactly the work we do together.
