Expression Vs. Suppression
Your body already knows.
Not the knowing you read about, but the kind that lives in your sternum, your throat, the space between your ribs where light comes in.
You've been circling something.
Feeling it at the edges.
Maybe naming it, maybe not.
But some part of you is ready to stop narrating the experience and actually enter it.
Feeling something moves it. Knowing it just... keeps it company. In the spiritual world, we've gotten really good at the graceful pivot...like grief into gratitude, heaviness into higher vibe, ick into affirmation. It's fast, clean, thirty seconds flat.
I did it too, scared that if I stayed in the dark, sticky, uncertain feelings too long they'd claim me and i'd get stuck. What I found instead was that there are gifts buried in that ground, the things that you can't THINK your way to.
Expressive arts + Psychedelics gives the body an opportunity to find a new way of BEING, and the neuroplasticity to expand our capacity to handle more sensation. We work with symbol, movement, image, narrative, not to perform healing but to actually FEEL the shift happen. Patterns don't change when they're understood. They change when they're felt all the way through. Witnessed. Expressed. Released into form.
