To the part of you that can’t stop doing...
On Monday's integration group, one of our participants shared something that hit deep...
He said:
‘Even after surgery... I couldn't stop pushing. I kept working. I couldn't rest.’
That’s the Overachiever part.
It’s the one that says:
‘If I slow down, I’ll fall behind.’
‘If I rest, I’ll be forgotten.’
And here’s what we explored together:
1. That part isn’t bad.
It’s actually trying to protect you —
from feeling useless, unworthy, or unseen.
It learned somewhere along the way:
‘My value comes from what I do, not who I am.’
2. You don’t need to force that part to stop.
You need to get curious.
Ask it:
“What are you afraid will happen if you don’t keep pushing me?”
When we asked that question on the call,
there was this moment of stillness.
The part was scared…
but also relieved to be asked.
This is the work we do every other week.
Listening to the parts that usually get shamed or ignored.
And slowly, gently… learning how to lead from Self.
You’re not broken. You’re just BLENDED.
