I had such a good conversation with "The Permission Slip podcast with Matt Kosterman."
We got into a LOT.
How I went from growing up doing music and theater in New Jersey, to spending 16 years dealing with bulimia, to becoming an AVP at an insurance brokerage, to eventually leaving that whole world and building a life around expressive arts, somatics, psychedelics and healing.
There were some pretty wild stories in there too.
The ibogaine flood that changed everything for me.
An ayahuasca ceremony and healing a fractured knee.
A DMT experience that took me into what felt like my own birth.
But honestly, one of my favorite parts of the conversation was talking about something much simpler:
What actually happens when we stop keeping everything trapped inside of us?
We talked about anger. Crying. Movement. Making art. Ritual. Burning things. Planting things. The ways our bodies communicate when we've gotten really good at overriding them.
And we talked about the five things I come back to again and again in my work:
Identify.
Confront.
Release.
Change.
Grow.
It's a pretty damn good conversation if you're interested in the messy, weird, nonlinear way healing can actually happen.
Thank you for having me on, The Permission Slip. 🤍
